Come weed with us and EBOP Forest & Bird! 🌱

Taiwan cherry trees are spreading quickly through our reserves. If left unchecked, they can take over large areas of bush in just a few years.

While beautiful for a short time in flower, Taiwan cherries don’t support our ecosystem in the same way natives do. Replacing them with species like kōwhai, pōhutukawa, and harakeke helps provide food for birds year-round and restores the health of our local environment 🌳

Join us at Whitehorse Drive on 7 November to help remove these pest trees - every helping hand makes a difference! 🙌🏼

Can't make it? Join us for another working bee around Waiewe on 22 November!

Cancellations or postponements will be updated on this page.
